Revolutionizing Financial Services for Everyone with Our Innovative Platform

Our Mission

A dignified life for all urban poor, with access to quality healthcare, affordable housing, and thriving informal businesses.

Our Vision

Empowering urban poor communities through cooperative solutions, prioritizing health, economic stability, and social welfare.

“The habit of saving is itself an education; it fosters every virtue, teaches self-denial, cultivates the sense of order, trains to forethought, and so broadens the mind.” – T.T. Munger

Community Impact

SISCOOP provides a framework for community self-help funding, access to credit, and equity contributions to climate resilience and adaptation projects. These projects include:

  • Household solar power acquisition
  • Social housing and community in-situ upgrading
  • Stack farming and aquaponics
  • Health insurance
  •  Access to government loans, grants, and more
Our Core Values (AREIPA)

Accountability

We seek to execute best accounting practices and render adequate explanations to our members.

01

Respect

We respect the fundamental and other Human Rights of our members, especially the fundamental Right to Dignity of the Human Person, Right to Life, Right to Livelihood, and Right to Development as determined by Article 22 of the African Charter on Human and People’s Rights (ACHPR). We respect the diversity of our ethnicity, religion, race, and cultures.

02

Empowerment

We provide information, opportunities, and resources to build the capacity of the urban poor, those living in slums, and informal settlements to at least meet basic needs of survival with dignity, free from policy harassment and lack of access to justice.

03

Inclusion

We envision a city that works and has a place for all, irrespective of social status and economic power. Everyone should be able to reside and earn a livelihood in the city and receive a fair share of government consideration and development projects. All processes for change are participatory.

04

Partnership

We partner with individuals, communities, corporate organizations, and governments at all levels to achieve the cooperative’s objectives

05

Advocacy

We make deliberate efforts to seek government-funded projects and private sector programs that benefit the cooperative society.
